Settings wont set right with band

When setting up the band to use you have to setup your height, age, weight and whether youd like the band to show a 12-hour display or 24-hour display. After setting the settings and synching the app with the band, for some reason, it doesnt set the band for a 12-hour display, its sets itself for a 24-hour display! I dont understand why it does this? If someone whos reading this has come across this problem and has fixed it, please share your input/advice as to how you went about fixing it! Thanks
